EDF Rotor Cutting in Tricastin (Fr)

The 200 T rotor removed from the decommissioned nuclear power plant was literally untransportable, and impossible to cut using traditional methods. Longhi has creatively adapted techniques, generally used for other materials, so they can be used for steel; in just 6 days it reduced the giant rotor into 7 x 28.5 T pieces which could be transported by standard HGV.
